Nelson’s passion is driving the latest in luxury and performance cars, translating his experience behind the wheel into words, emotions, and enthusiasm, whether in written form or in video.

Among his work at High Gear Media and Motor Authority, Nelson has contributed to the development of a content strategy that has helped feed a rapidly growing Facebook and social media presence that now numbers among the very top in the segment. He has also managed a team of freelance contributors, assigning and editing articles to ensure a consistent vision and voice for Motor Authority’s brand and mission.

Prior to working in the world of automotive media, Nelson was a  successful, if deeply unsatisfied lawyer in Arkansas, his adopted home state.

Nelson is a graduate of Arkansas State University and the University of Arkansas, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications and a Juris Doctor. He passed the Arkansas bar in 2006, and happily remains on voluntary inactive status.
