Concept cars are supposed to be works of art, predictions of the future, things to get us excited for what’s next in the automotive world. Some reach those standards; some fall short. Some rare examples exceed those expectations to become icons.

At the 2015 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Concept Lawn, we were treated to all three camps of concept car—and more than a handful of production cars, too. Here’s what was on display:
